Strategy (for appropriately targeting funding/collaboration proposals)

The Defence Technology Strategy which gives priorities for R&D funding and opportunities is available to download. A little background information on this weighty strategy is also available.

The Defence Technology Plan (DTP) aims to take the above document forward and provide clearer direction to the R&D and industrial communities. This should be up and running shortly, in the mean time the recent report on Technology Partnership in Defence is useful.
Funding
- The Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) is presented at the 1st point of contact for anyone with a disruptive technology with potential defence applications. Proposals for research can be submitted online. CDE also run regular events targeted to new suppliers and small organisations and academia, including the following

Defence Technology Centres are world-class centres of excellence consitituting a formal collaboration between industry and academia . Many of the DTCs fund 'open calls' for research proposals. The Counter Terrorism Centre is one of the most important and facilitates rapid acceleration of solutions from lab to field.
