Collaborative grant preparation support
It is widely recognised that the success rates in applications for collaborative R&D programmes from the European commission can vary enormously. The effort required to put together a consortium and draw up a full proposal is very significant and therefore it is important to maximise the chances of success and be as efficient as possible in the application process. Understanding the subtleties of what is required by the EU can be difficult, especially for applicants new to the process.
SEPNETs collaborative grant preparation support programme is specifically designed to help companies start-off in the right direction when putting a proposal together. By providing access to a professional grant writer for early stage advise, we aim to help you target your proposal in the right direction. This includes:-
- Stance / approach to be taken in the proposal e.g. proposed technology critical to or additional to future business
- Style in which proposals should be written including degree of technical detail
- Consortium composition and balance
- Practical advice on the mechanics of the application and evaluation processes
How does it work?
SEPNET members will have telephone access to a professional grant writer based in Europe with an established track record of success in obtaining EU funds significantly above the average.
Advice will be restricted to aural telephone-based consultancy
and restricted to a maximum time of two hours per member per six month
period.
SEPNET’s collaborative grant preparation support is specifically
designed to be used at the start of the grant writing process, not the
end and is designed to compliment existing services available direct
from the European or FP7UK. As such it will NOT
include:
- Editing of completed or part-completed proposals.
- Assessing the suitability of a proposal to the call, or other technical information on the call. [This can be obtained from FP7UK or direct from the EC.] Although the service will direct members to the detailed areas of these other services where relevant and may help in the interpretation of information.
Confidentiality can be important to potential project
partners. SEPNET
and its partners always respect members but if addition reassurance is
required specific NDA agreements can be set up between yourself and
SEPNET’s EU grant advisor.
Who qualifies?
This service is only available to fully paid up SEPNET
members. Details
on membership are available.
